Check your email accounts to see if you have any mails or receipts from Microsoft for purchases such as digital games, movie rentals or subscriptions.

Your account might be closed or deleted

If you closed your Microsoft account, you have 60 days from that closure to sign in and reopen it. After that 60 days, your account and data expire.

If you haven't signed in to your account for a long time, it might expire due to inactivity, according to the following schedule.

Use Alliteration

Alliteration is memorable because people like patterns. Names like Mickey Mouse and Dunkin Donuts are very memorable. Controversial names with alliteration work even better and are ideal for Gamertags. For example “Marilyn Manson” is a mash up of “Marilyn Monroe” (Actress) and “Charles Manson” (Criminal Cult Leader).

Make it Funny

Within names, humor comes when words with contrasting effects are joined together. These names are often funny and memorable.
